British Association of Removers (BAR)

We have been members of BAR, the largest and most respected removal industry association, for more than four decades.

Membership of BAR means that we continue to provide a consistently high standard of service to all our customers. We are assessed on a regular basis, our staff meet the association’s skill levels and we adhere to the Code of Practice which has achieved approval by the Trading Standards Institute.

Code of Practice 

We have signed up to a stringent Code of Practice that protects and promotes consumers’ interest beyond the basic requirements of law, which has been approved and is monitored by the Trading Standards Institute (TSI).

By displaying the BAR/TSI approved code we are offering peace of mind and reliable customer service.

Environmental Performance 

We are keen to be green here at Yeates and we are always looking at ways to improve our environmental performance.

  • We operate from a modern, purpose-built depot which uses solar panel energy.
  • Our routes are planned to minimise driving time and distances, saving fuel and reducing emissions.
  • We run a modern fleet of vehicles that are efficient and fit-for-purpose.
  • We recycle all our paper and cardboard, of course!

Our Charity Partnership

We began our partnership with CHSW in April 2012, offering customers the opportunity to donate unwanted goods to charity on the day of their house move.

For no extra cost we collect all your unwanted goods and furniture on your moving day, they are then sold at CHSW shops throughout the region. All you have to do is simply request donation sacks from us prior to your move.

This partnership has proved a huge success, generating over 10 truckloads of stock for the charity shops in the first year. The profits raised from this much needed stock will enable CHSW to continue making the most of short and precious lives.

We also provide a free collection and recycling service for old printer cartridges and toners, and all the proceeds are donated to CHSW. What a great way to get rid of your used materials!
