Yeates Raises £15,000 for Children’s Hospice South West

Somerset removals and storage company Yeates is thrilled to announce it has reached £15,000 in fundraising for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) in support of life-limited young people and their families.

The figure marks a 10 year milestone in Yeates’ partnership with the charity, having been a supporter since helping the hospice to move into its home at Wraxall, Somerset a decade ago.

James Griffin, Managing Director at Yeates said: “As a family business and a Somerset removals company that has been operating locally for more than 100 years we are delighted to have raised £15,000 for this local charity that does such brilliant and important work.”

“Every time we visit CHSW in Wraxall we are inspired by the happy and colourful environment that is provided for children and families who are facing life limiting conditions. We get a lot of satisfaction out of our partnership and try and do all we can to help in a variety of ways. It is a privilege to help as much as we can.”

In addition to making regular cash donations to the hospice, Yeates donates time and resources for events and activities carried out by CHSW in the South West region, including the Rainbow Run and Santa’s on the Run.

Yeates also runs a charity collection service encouraging customers to donate unwanted, good quality, furniture and household goods during removals. Items are collected and delivered to CHSW’s chain of shops throughout the South West including stores in Portishead, Nailsea and Bristol.

Amanda Gallagher, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at CHSW, said ‘We cannot thank Yeates enough for its continued support of CHSW. The vital funds they have raised, along with the time and energy they spend helping us with our events and collecting donations, is invaluable. The dedication and commitment of all its staff in helping us make the most of short and precious lives is second to none.’
