What is self storage and how does it work?

Storing your possessions at Yeates is like having a spare room away from home that you can access as often as you like. Or, if you are a business, it’s an area separate from your main place of work to store items and even take deliveries.

Yeates self storage is very flexible, with no deposit, no energy bills, rates or onerous long term contracts. You can stay short or long-term – the minimum is just two weeks – and there is no notice period.

If you think that self storage might be just what you need to get organised and free up some space, then read on to find out how it works.

1. Choose which facility suits you best – Clevedon or Weston-super-Mare

Both of our self storage buildings are modern, bespoke facilities located close to the M5. Our Clevedon facility is just minutes from junction 20 and Weston is situated moments from junction 21.

Top notch security is a priority at both our sites, and we have units in a variety of sizes from lockers and rooms to small business units and outside shipping containers. Yeates at Weston also offers extra facilities such as full 24 hr access, 365 days a year and a business suite for drop in use.

2. Choose your storage space

The best way to decide how much space you need is to give us a call and arrange to pop in and have a look at the units we have available. That will give you the opportunity to ask any questions and choose which size and location (ground floor, first floor etc) suits you best.

Alternatively, you can use our self storage calculator on our website, which will help you work out how much space you will need to store your goods.

Remember, we are available on the phone to help you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

There is also lots of useful information on our website www.yeates.co.uk

3. Reserve your space

You can reserve your unit over the phone or in person.

Before you move in you will need to sign some paperwork and understand what items you cannot store in a self storage unit (such as perishable goods and toxic materials).

You will also need to show us your photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence along with proof of your address, such as a utility bill.

4. Move in

Then it is time to move in! You can move your items yourself – we have plenty of easy, on-site parking and as well as trolleys and lifts to all floors.  However, if you need transport or assistance with lifting, we can help with that too as we are also a removal firm! Just ask and we can provide you with a quote. We also sell boxes and packing materials if you are storing items that need to be packed.

5. Enjoy your new space!

Now you are in, you can your time to organise your space and get to know your surroundings with the peace of mind that your goods are securely stored and easy to access.

So, as you can see, using self storage really is very simple and an extremely flexible option for both individuals and businesses. If you would like to know more, contact us today on 01934 900525 or 01275 872251. Alternatively email info@yeates.co.uk or visit our website www.yeates.co.uk
